Visited the cathedral Santa Maria - if anything could convert me, it would be this one. How were these Gothic marvels created? Larger than life.
It's a welcome rest day. We're having alot of fun shedding our peregrino role for the monent and reveling in being turistas! The next few days will be light too. Hoping to have Paella and tapas tonight.
This is a wonderful town. We continued our exploration after a siesta by strolling along the river and then walking and walking along with others. European cities have such a wonderful social aspect to them with people of all ages gathering for a drink or just to talk. Leon is one of the best. Who knew?
Tomorrow we become peregrinos again. We're ready. This was good !
Note: we had a drink in the Parador San Marco and toasted my parents who loved to come and stay in them. I wonder if they were ever here? So many things we don't know about our parents' lives.
